Maybe a power washer would work better than a screwdriver to clean under your mower. You might get lucky and all that dog poop/wet grass will blow into the neighbor’s yard. If they say anything it’s fertilizer and you’re just a neighborly kind of guy.

I had no expectations of change when she took office. I believe the majority of Politicians no longer care about “what is best for the people”, it’s “what can I do to stay in office”. No doubt she will do whatever is necessary to remain in office.

I don’t see what the big deal is about wearing a mask. If I have to wear 2 or 3 to protect myself and my family I will do that.

Wondering why our numbers so much higher now than last year? This is serious. A family member was sent to ER by Ambulance yesterday about 12:30 pm. She was in the waiting room until about 1:15 am, it was that busy. Luckily Covid test was negative.

Reboots sometimes don’t live up to the original show. I see they are doing a “Wonder Years” reboot. I would check out a new Quantum Leap.

I’m amazed that reminders to stay home have to be issued.

It’s already an issue, the consequences are yet to appear.

Health care providers worked through the worse times of Covid in 2020 without vaccines. They are trained to work with contagious diseases. I do not believe they should be mandated to get the vaccine, but should be offered the testing option. There will definitely be a severe shortage of health care providers that will potentially cause more serious problems for patient care than Covid. Just my humble opinion.

Thank you Linda. My niece called Friday night from Arnot ER to tell me they brought her Mom in. She asked me to call the Aunts (my sisters) and all we new was Pat was unconscious. I called my daughter in law who used to work in the ER to see if she could check on Pat for me. When Chris and Abby came through our front door I knew it wasn’t good. I still can’t believe Pat is gone from us.

There was an empty chair this evening at my sister Pat’s home. She died very unexpectedly last night and we are all trying to understand. She turned 63 in March and retired in April. She was my sister, co-worker for 9 years, confidant, advisor, friend, shoulder to lean on when needed. Yesterday was a difficult day that turned so much worse.

No surprises here, I expected no major policy changes with NYS’s first female Governor’s administration.

That has always been the problem with Elmira, the “me first” attitude of those in power.

Perhaps the key words in this resolution are “hired by the County”. Since Legislators are elected I wonder if there is something covering that type of employee.

Tear it down and make lots available for sale. Buyers would build to their specifications and needs hopefully bringing new businesses downtown.

We have candles and kerosene lamps. Our kerosene heater works for heat in Winter but haven’t thought of something yet to help keep cool when power is out in summer. Maybe some huge hand held fans like ancient slaves used…..Hubby can use to keep me cool 😉

Last week we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Blue Dolphins. The service was prompt and the food was delicious and portions very generous. I especially enjoyed the Greek salad. I'm not a big fan of vinegret dressings but this was wonderful. I told Hubby I would go back just for that salad.

How can gun manufacturers prevent inventory theft of guns? There are already many laws on State and Federal level regarding sale of guns. I think this is just a backdoor effort on Cuomo's part to further restrict possession of guns. Why can't politicians understand criminals don't obey the law. How about stricter laws on criminal activity.

100% true. I believe the family unit is the foundation of any society. When the family unit crumbles so does society.

I agree with Senator O’Mara. The time has come to rescind Cuomo’s emergency powers and ending the state of emergency. Let’s see how long that will take.

Totally agree, what’s left to the imagination is so much more powerful than actually watching the actors play it out. I was at a bachelorette party years ago and someone put on a porn video the one and only time I watched this type of film. I was bored and all I saw was dirty feet.

I’m wondering why they are paying/bribing people to get the vaccine.
