It has been decades since Hubby and I went out to celebrate on New Year’s Eve. That includes staying up to watch the Ball drop in Times Square. During our 50 years together, we went out once and we both realized that drinking and partying wasn’t for us. We did celebrate, though, with our sons. We would make a cheese and cracker platter with pepperoni and Sparkling juice or cider in wine glasses. Our little guys thought that was something special. Tonight Hubby and I will follow our tradition of staying in. Tonight it will be hot fudge sundays and West Wing or Netflix and we won’t stay up to watch the Ball drop. Happy New Year to you all.

I don’t believe any elected official should vote on their raises. Why can’t this be put to a Public vote at Election time. Added to the back of the ballot like other issues. Specify 2, 3, 4% or no salary increase for example.

File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the licensing board governing optometrists. For good measure I’d contact the Attorney General’s Office/Consumer Fraud. I did that and got a refund from the seller of a registered dog.

So the budget included several million or more for transgender studies in Pakistan. Several hundred million for border protection in Syria, Jordan I believe and someplace else while nothing to protect and close our southern border. 3 billion I believe was allocated for the border but not to secure it. No, it’s for the comfort and care of the illegals crossing our border. Our southern border remains wide open. Those border cities look like third world countries.

Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone could set their own raises.

I wish the local TV people would learn how to pronounce words properly. It’s not just once in a while but almost nightly. Who knew “contribution” was a difficult word to enunciate. Read what’s going to come across the teleprompter before you go on air and if the word has more than two syllables…practice.

I wonder who it was that was slammed into a locker? These parents need to start filing criminal charges since the School District is turning a blind eye to what’s happening.

This report did not surprise me. Do you remember when your youngest brother had his head slammed into a locker. We later were told it was a case of “mistaken identity”. Your Dad left work at went to the school. He spoke to the Principal and basically they wanted to handle the matter in school. Hubby said no, call the Police but they wouldn’t. Hubby took our son to the ER, he had a concussion. Next stop was the Police Dept. and charges were filed. The school wasn’t happy. I would strongly suggest to the parents that if your child is physically assaulted or bullied, file charges with the Police. Assault and or Harassment. Have the “bad asses” arrested.

It’s amazing how NYS’s gun laws are keeping us safe.

Lots of cars lined up at traffic lights makes the streets look busy….like there is actual downtown traffic instead of cars just passing through to get somewhere else.

My question is “ what good does it do if NYS, and/ or the USA, spends billions of dollars to stop climate change when other States or Countries like China, India, Russia, etc continue as is?

I just recorded the original movie to watch this weekend. My favorite scene is the adult Halloween dance party. Hocus Pocus 2 will be next.

Hubby watches these movies and roars with laughter. I watch with him and wonder what he’s laughing about. He looks at me not laughing and it drives him nuts lol.

I had heard from others their fish fry was good. Good to know you give it a thumbs up.
