Ya know , I feel kinda sad when I look out on two fenced in areas where there used to be all kinds of chickens , around 100 or so in total . But with feed prices and a lot of backyard poultry keepers flooding the market with eggs it just wasn’t worth the effort any longer ! Same with bee keeping and honey sales , anymore selling honey around this area is like selling ice cubes to Eskimo’s ! Some folks don’t take into consideration the costs behind the scenes such as your feed prices , with bee’s feed is not the problem and bees are certainly not a problem … it’s the damn honey ! Pull frames , cut wax , spin frames , rinse and repeat all day ! Then theres the cost of the jars going up and up every year , filling those jars , oh and by the way the caps are sold separately, labels are expensive ,even generic ones , and with all the Rona crap I used cap shrink wraps at another cost , so labor , turns out , is on the producer right Chris ? Hows your back after cleaning that chicken house . Well shit … i’ve gone on again lol , just wanted to let you know your right to cut back and then get out of the game ! And don't forget i have a bunch of the tee post for your goat pen when you need them .

Interesting Podcast ! Looks the County Executive is pushing back on some of the “ good ole boys “ that when confronted by their own words do a lot of stammering and circle talk ! And I do appreciate hearing the Executives take on the Legislators proposed resolutions.

I’m in process of getting the old Sears garden tractor ready and going to put in raised beds plus the bigger garden this year . Taters , corn , winter squash etc

I know someone who can tell you that the Court System was broken before Bail Reform by politicians but was compounded by this last “ reform “ which does nothing but end the deterrent for committing crimes and protect the criminals !

Small family farms are being driven out of the market by these severely out of touch ( or is it all part of the bigger picture ) politicians and their overpaid and underworked toadies ! Hocul … phtt , I will repeat my thoughts on her . She is just Coumo with different Plumbing !

In my short 68 tears on this “ big blue marble “ i have witnessed many things , most were good then there were things i would not wish anyone to see or participate in . To the point I have ( as most of us have ) watched a Country of friendly good natured people turn to a divided mass of freaking buffoons that can’t have a civil discussion or even agree to disagree! As the others have stated if we can’t be civil in or after a heated conversation then in my mind we won’t be having any discussions at all and that has been my way for the past few years . I was recently refereed to as being crass and had this been anyone else than who they were we would not be communicating any further but in the spirit of our friendship we talked it out and dropped it there … left it behind , which is as it should be universally! I learned a few years ago while my mother was slipping away from dementia that i needed to tell her what she needed to hear , for her own good , not what she wanted to hear and i believe that is where the “crass” word was referenced , as for my own sanity i find it a useful mantra and preface this when others ask my advice or opinion . I have also learned over the years how to admit when I am wrong on any given subject and will except it as a learning experience but my opinion is another thing altogether … that is my gift from God to be a free thinking person as it is with all humans , but this does not mean we can’t respect each others opinion thereby respecting the other person themselves ! 😂 LOL , am i still on topic here ? Yes ? Okay , wrap up time ! Too many factors for a person of few words to bring into play but yes , politics, the internet ( with all its good sides ) folks believing they are entitled to be assholes and hiding behind the First Amendment , and the very people that are elected and sworn to protect the Constitution and our way of life playing one against the other . There is the problem in my opinion , right or wrong or just plain ass not making sense , there it is .

Some folks find them handy to burn all manner of garbage mistakenly thinking its not bad for the equipment, environment and the neighbors . That is one of the reasons the powers that be were trying to ban them . Now , my opinion is they should be starting with emissions from factories that buy and sell the so called “ carbon credits “ from one another which allows for factory “ A “ to pump particulates over what their permits allow by purchasing factory “Bs” unused credits ! Yeah this is a real thing used by one local factory since the program’s inception even to the point of giving them bragging rights about their bargaining prowess with other factories . No , the Albany crew and their “ experts “ need to look more toward the Hudson Vally and Rotten Apple than Upstate to find and lower carbon emissions and greenhouse gasses . Look to that problem before blaming Cow Farts and wood stoves .

The Wife started painting in acrylics this last year , took to it like a duck to water ! I have enough hobbies to keep myself busy but have gotten back to restoring a couple vintage Sears garden tractors . Parts are hard to track down but the fun is in the hunt !

What would be good for upstate New Yorkers would be for Albany and that region to mind their own damn business and leave us to hell alone !! They have some misbegotten notion that we give a rats ass what they think ! Yes i burn wood it heats two houses , even supplies hot water for one house . It’s economical for us … has been for many years and will continue to be our source of heat till I’m worm shite 😡 Besides in the words of a local total idiot … I live in the country so I can do what i want on my property!

Personally I have never liked the whole “man cave “ reference . While watching Home renovation shows and such that term comes up often while homes are being shown or plans are reviewed and most times it is the basement … the whole damn basement! I have what I call my music room , all 14 x14 foot of it filled with my favorite things ( okay more than a few 😆) but I don’t feel I’m relegated to that room by the wife , to the contrary , she knows that being up there calms me . But to have a complete finished basement equipped with all the latest exciting gadgets and games seems to defeat the purpose of getting away from that household chaos by jumping into more noise and chaos .

Make that a ham sammich and bring it up to my Conservatory!

I wouldn’t expect anything less !
