last update i got was that the November meeting allegedly was live-streamed but not recorded, interesting especially since the public notice was never given. Also the lease was apparently not discussed in open session

Went to Loui's for first time today....OMG!! started with Bruschetta, am sorry i shouldnt get so excited over toast with tomatoes but it was TO DIE FOR. veal parm was good(bit tough for veal), red suace was really good, had bit of sweet note to it this is certainly a repeat visit

Quite frankly, i see many things over past year that are showing him to be the politician i hoped he would not be. Vax issue aside, masks are a proven, safe and simple way to decrease the spread, when those that are supposed to be leaders make statements/posts like above it gives the Joe Brennans of this world more fuel for their 1776 wet-dreams

i see the point but if you dont swing at the ball you'll certainly NEVER hit it....im thinking more long term that if enough towns/areas at least allow dispensaries, that opens a possibility, albeit remote, for growing of crops to sell in said places as well as normalizing the growing of Hemp. Agriculture that this area has plenty of land to promote but again, village idiots and all

my theoretical question to corporate would be "No shirt, no shoes, no service?....if they cite hygiene; well not wearing a proven method of reducing viral transmission is least hygienic

i did inquire with Mr. Hyland to which i have not heard yet reached out initially to Rodney Strange: "I'm not sure why it isn't already on the county website. I know they were having trouble with it on Tuesday. I'll check and see when it will be posted."

i hate to bust out the tin foil but despite all the love and unicorn farts of that announcement ( press conferences usually involve a Q&A session) but im still bothered by the fact that a "clerical error" and ZERO presence of video/streaming of the meetings exist. im sorry but i dont subscribe to ends justifying means; if its such a sweetheart deal for taxpayers why were we not privy to ANYTHING until after deal was sealed? i hope it succeeds this time but as a taxpayer im starting to feel a bent over type situation coming

all in all though, some things do not pass the smell test with this new agreement. Company just and specifically formed for this deal, the guy from Hollywood apparently has history of ripping off people, no public meeting to either introduce the prospective party nor announce terms of the deal(which is BS since the County taxpayers have a stake in it anyways) seems like another round with the Afr's to me

i can say 100% that the County had ZERO to do with build outs in our area( im not taking credit either). they offered no real assistance over the years going back to when Krusen was Exec, except to inform us that we were not attractive to companies due to low population density, meanwhile Hhds, Bigflats were getting 3rd and 4th upgrades!

If WETM bothered to actually look at the Hunt Engineering report, all items they found DO total close to 8 million dollars, seems as though they are trying to imply the County IDA was lying about the cost.. Problem is, if inly the "critical" items are addressed, any person with the finances to possibly purchase the building is going to see all the other items NOT addressed and either ask the County to fix them, or just walk/run away. Hockey is not sustainable, nor the Circus/monster trucks, it does suck but its the facts...at 1.2million to demolish, i say do it and sell the blank slate to a developer(caveat; no more apartments). If people of the City think its such a grand investment, instead of whining the County should foot the bill, they need to corner the Elmira "Mayor" and City Council, they got 28 million and gave themselves bonuses out of it; they obviously have money to burn. Side note, the City should Also be funding the Federally Funded Health Center thats looking to come into the area as well, people seem to forget we Taxpayers are going to be on the hook for 160-180 million dollar sewer upgrade that many of us dont actually use(that often)

admittedly it wasnt as funny as the previous shows, that said, it was a bit more ...heavy...mixed with humor. really liked how he wove everything into an arc, ending with the suicide of the comic friend of his. not really sure i understand the "space Jews" bit though

its not so much the changing of the wording; “Truth, Justice and Freedom” does sound less....limp wristed than "a better tomorrow" it is more that you know its more a social justice -type move. sometimes change really isnt necessary, somethings are better left they way they are or has everyone forgotten Jar Jar Binks?

as Exec, he has discretion over such matters regardless of tier declarations. that aside we as a society(at least the adult portion) need to demand proactive actions instead of reactionary theater

i certainly support it, i am disappointed though that the trend still seems to be reactive rather than proactive...he should never have reversed decision on previous mandate
