I get so confused about peoples attitudes on this. First there is nothing but crying about no affordable housing & crying because the city keeps knocking down historic buildings. So, they rehab 4 historic buildings and turn it into affordable housing and now everyone is crying because there will be nothing but riff/raff there. Can't win can they? I know Arbor takes Section 8 vouchers but low income doesn't necessarily mean people are dirtbags. Hell I know rich people who are dirtbags.

Good question. I re-read it twice to see if anything else was referenced or it was even the same project. Sure sounds like it. Maybe the city was counting it's chickens early and went to the legislature for some county money assuming they would get the state money they wanted.

Honestly, the more I read about Mr Moss the less impressed I am. Other factors aside, the Arena seems to be doing what they said they are going to do and bring in events, concerts, activities etc. This other "corp" is not new. I feel like no matter what they do or try to do he is not going to be happy unless he is in charge and that's really the issue here.

I'm sure, but if that's the case then step back and let the officials do their job. He will get all the credit anyway.

Isn't there a maximum word count for publishing an opinion piece? Anyway, the Star Gazette is published in Binghamton. I don't think they care at all about Elmira. The only thing I ever see is sports or articles that are a week later than all the other news sources that already posted them.

Well then, maybe they can get another pharmacist in the Village Plaza location. Pharmacy closes at 5 weekdays and not open at all on weekends. I'm about ready to move my stuff to Walmart.

I think that Ax throwing place opened last summer or thereabouts. I know there is a pickle ball place too. I'm currently aware of 2 other places in process of opening that are locally owned. They have been going after the big guys for rent and then offering reduced rents for locals and small places which is the reason why Mooneys decided to bail. They wouldn't negotiate price and there is non stop maintenance issues.
