  1. Moss is a turd. Which is unfortunate. His brother is a professor at CCC and he's a pretty cool guy. Guess the apple fell far from the tree.
  2. Lol what a joke. I bet he's got a nice pension plan from all his years of being an officer/sheriff
  3. Moe evidence to me that this robot chatter is about making you the robot. I recall seeing someone predicting smartphones will be in your body by 2030....f--k no I'm not on that mentally insane train.
  4. Trauma is the gateway drug to any problem a human endures. It's something you wanna escape. You do things like drug abuse to do this. The substance you abuse gives you a good feel that you otherwise can't get in life. But society doesn't understand that....
  5. Can't blame people. I'm not even conservative or believe in political ideology but I know NY blows as a state. It's dead. Like California and all these big boys. While NY has rural its still overpopulated. I wanna give to one of them "fly over" states which have a lot of land but not an overpopulated population.
  6. If you like to drink either place certainly has it. I think corning is vastly overrated though personally. I would bet a bazillion dollars that if corning Inc didn't exist that downtown would be a shell of what it is though they have a lot of restaurants. Corning and Elmira would be in reverse if one had the fortune 500 company and the other did not. Although one really wonders how long until corning maybe leaves corning behind and makes headquarters elsewhere. They already have moved a lot of their business to other places like China. Watkins Glen is just a pain in the ass in the summer months to go to, even if you have no intention of hitting up the lakes. Holiday weekends just to drive through are a disaster. But the downtown is not nearly as congested as corning.
  7. Tweeter has never turned a profit. Both are awful though. Social media feels so obsolete to me now. I'd rather have MySpace back. Saw a photo of musk and zuck fight. It was the brother's from Napolean Dynamite and the one brother pushing each other. That would be the equivalent of any fight between. These 2 clowns.
  8. I heard this but I'm not surprised. Surprised this lasted as long as it did. This county isn't full of money. I think it may have flourished in Ithaca. They dd have some exotic stuff you couldn't get in this area. I knew someone who said they went once and got two steaks and it was $65. I like steak but as one who doesn't even order them out I can't picture paying some $32 for a steak. I'm not certain I love it $32 worth.
  9. What if these are all fake? The more I think about it every shooting is the same. That one out in Colorado 2 years ago looked like the fakest thing I've ever seen. A freelance journalist just happened to know this was going down to film it? Plus if you watched the video you would have noticed the guys camera was filming to one side but the "shots" were going in the other direction. Not that we saw what went down but just by the sound. And why would we not get inside footage from a freelance journalist? Yeah...suspicious. Back to these all being the same. Everyone is always depressed and on medication and so on. It doesn't add up to me. Repetition but we are clueless and worried about guns. I'm not even a gun owner for the record. Guns are your one and only defense against tyranny. That's why they want them gone. There was a book years ago written by a guy named Bill Cooper called "Behold A Pale Horse" there is a section in there talking about how the CIA was going to create school shooters. Part of the plan was getting them on medication. These things may be staged. School shootings would never be hard to fake. Just pick kids who already have left that school. Buy off a bunch of family and friends. Nobody ever mentions that the most vocal kid from the "parkland" shooting David Hogg's daddy actually works for the CIA.
  10. I would throw all my money on Trump being re installed. It would be the ultimate chaos move. They love chaos. It would piss many off. I remember the Economist magazine ran an article on December 2016 for their annual year in edition. It had Donald Trump with a sequence of tarot cards. These tarot cards read "The Towwr" "The Star" and other things. I think there were 8 cards in the picture. The interpretation seemed to be he was the last president. I believe on 3-13-2020 @ 3:33pm when he declared that emergency the country was actually put under control to FEMA and they are still technically in umcontrol. You could argue the country is toast...or living on borrowed time. The covid game basically killed it but they still have to finish the rcomomy off. They haven't defaulted on the debt yet. I think Teump being the last puppet in chief so to speak is installed a 2nd time to finish off the job.
  11. I thought DC was getting ready for martial law in covid times.
  12. Sadly nobody would know what goes on behind closed doors. These guys may just state things to keep their jobs(meaning a guy like Strange who has been at his post forever, not the newer guys who brought attention to him)I do find it funny though one of the guys I saw speak out was Brennan. I remember when Manchester passed how he made a big post talking about him as a big mentor to him. Just ironic though with what you said t hose older fellows wouldn't have batted an eye. Maybe these two newcomers weren't going to get any of the potential cut of the pot given to the lawmakers who would have made this deal get done. Kudos to them. My gut still doesn't see this ending up well. Just delayed until a certain time. Maybe I'll be wrong. Seems like any time something like this goes public promises are made and the opposite occurs.
  13. Guthrie, huh? I can't help but think of them when it comes to this story....since he got his shots at a Guthrie facility. Man that family should be suing Guthrie as well. I'm sure they made a lot of funny money during the scam democrats and they keep expanding. Don't they have a place in big flats now? https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/george-watts-jr-pfizer-covid-vaccine-injury/
  14. I think they'll do it anyway. I think they are just buying time for you to forget and feel complacent. The county already owns the land anyway. Wouldn't be hard to sneak a deal in before public knowledge. Although a travel center or welcome center whatever you wanna call it isn't really necessary here anyways. The people flying here live here pretty much. Out of towers don't fly here unless they are visiting some family perhaps but no true outsiders who haven't been here before are flying here just to come here or vacation or anything of the nature. They are justifying that it will being 50 jobs(no idea what all thrdr people will really need to be doing there full time)and of course money for them. Isn't this a state push though? If they don't come here they will just go somewhere else? Wasn't the same thing recently just proposed somewhere in Steuben County? I think out by like Campbell I thought I heard?
  15. I feel like the news has just become propaganda no matter what type of news you're watching. Now they tell you what you should think without basically being straight up blunt about it. There is no more thinking for yourself and they all beat home the same drivel. Even sports news now feels controversial. There is no escape. I have them whining on sportscaster about race and gender and all that stuff. Back during covid times you had to believe in the BS or you were an asshole. Even as they kept turning the stories and coming up with new causes that would make you scratch your Mellon. Things definitely get staged and the news has a lot of fear porn. I wouldn't even be surprised if all these shootings and stabbings they claim happen locally didn't all actually occur. I have a hard time believing that "no quiet days" of violent activity don't exist. It's not like we are a populous of millions.
  16. It's not shocking the paper is a dead thing. It would be one thing if the online content was flowing but even when you could view for free it was so lagging in updates. I'm shocked anybody pays for the online version but who is paying for the physical content now? I mean....the building in Elmira is closed. No idea how any local news would be getting pumped out on there anyway.
  17. Interesting topic. People probably don't watch the news anymore. I don't think my generation does and I highly doubt Gen Z does. The only people I know are older boomers and their parents(if they are still alive) with social media who needs a real news broadcast anymore? All big stories are broken on tweeter. I think the news has always been a sham though. These are all affiliates of a FOX, CBS, ABC or NBC. Then you have broadcast groups like say Nexstar. The news is all related and there are so few media companies out there. I don't recall the number off the top of my head but I believe 6 corporations own about 90%(or even higher)of the media in this country. Could you get more local news? Maybe I am not old enough to compare with say the 70s, 80s or even the 90s to now. But I would suspect the internet has a lot to do with it. All you have to do is see how active the WENY and WETM social media pages are in a given day. I only end up on the news if I was watching a program before and didn't change the channel quickly enough. It may stay on if a cute anchor appears lol. But all I mostly see negativity on the news. Shootings, stabbings, arrests. Blah blah blah. It's the same old. It's rare when they have anything good. Sometimes in the beginning they will talk about a cool event going down but honestly that's about it. But if the event has already happened which us usually the case doesn't necessarily do me much good. Lol
  18. Whatever happened to that alive after 5 thing? They kill that with the covid times? That was a thing I remember. I never made it but I definitely remember hearing about it. This sounds like that but on a larger scale with a venue existing next to it or what not. Not sure how they will make it profitable year round though. I guess a brewery and a restaurant could work. But people already do have their favorite bars. Not sure how big the space is or if they will be able to fit acts indoors. I did notice they were at least looking at bringing in pool tables? Somebody somewhere should put in a golf simulator. Personally I would love to see one of those Slamball courts pop up somewhere.

If marketed that will be interesting to see how that goes. Last go around it felt like nothing was marketed except at the introductory press conference the Jon Lovitz show was name dropped. To be honest I can't even recall I'd that show actually even occurred. It is already the middle of July though and if I did not see this post I would not have likely been aware lol.

Hmm interesting. A concert with no formal introduction of a management team running the facility. Who is funding this venture then?
  21. So this is supposed to be what? An outdoor concert venue? A brewery? And a restaurant or something? Who can afford such a project? Doesn't the area have enough breweries already? The renderings look interesting but.....no idea how this county will be able to support it. Sounds like something they would do in a bigger city like Rochester or something. Will be interesting to see how this one goes.
  22. I guess this guy is making out well for not paying taxes for many months. Heard they started paying them awhile back but who knows if that's true they still made out for quite some time not doing so. Wonder if that's why they made the fuss about the certain parking going on even though they have no actually authority to enforce what they wanted. That call is to a higher power.

The logo is actually kinda cool. The name very fictional but hell why not. Funny how we have not heard who the new management team is going to be. But it looks like a CCIDA to CCIDA production with the league for some strange reason being involved. Hmm....did these bozos finally find a way to create themselves a tax write off on this joint?

I wonder why they are being so hush hush about who this whole new operating team of the arena will actually be. I find it interesting that they already have a new head coach for the FHL team coming. The odd thing is the guy played here a few years ago. He was playing in Binghamton the last 2 years. They also hired an assistant coach. The guy played 11 games here last year. But allegedly this is a new operation coming in....but they somehow brought back guys who played here previously. WETM did a snippet on the 6pm news tonight of the sports section where they had the FHL commissioner talking. He claimed that this management group was going to be "awesome" and one of the best he's seen in his 40 years. Just weird to me all this stuff going on but the public is being given no info about who the party leasing the arena will actually be. This all smells fishy. The IDA can just do this but some silly petition going around regarding a playground park and a new travel center stop is being under reevaluation because of some push back. Granted, I think that is them just using cute terminology and they will just table it for some time then eventually do whatever they want anyway. It appears there is no real vote or public say on anything the IDA does anyway. When that project goes off they will probably sneakily already have broke ground before it becomes public knowledge anyway.

I think it's definitely more toward the latter. I think these guys knew I mean they went on TV on the news and said the place needed fixing. But I also feel like the county has never done Jack to make it possible. You gotta spend to make sure but it's not as if the IDA has lifted a finger. If you're gunna sell something or lease it, it should have functional equipment. They can't or won't even do this. People may be shady and crooks but I'm sure the IDA is the same. Every side is playing a game of chess, not good enough for the 3D version because the community can see right through it. I've always been curious where the hell the IDA got the money to buy the arena and how much they paid for it. It is a government agency so the details should be public, no? But who sold it to them? Did they get a sweetheart deal from Freeman as he exited the door? The fact he and Santulli were on that board speaks volumes as Santulli says the county had no interest in the arena business. Yet the agency responsible for county growth owns the place. The joint has to be millions in the negative. So why the county would want to own it is beyond me. But at the same time this is the only way they can own and benefit. If they had to pay the bills the charade would be over. I'm still not sure if Afr actually owned the building or not. I'm gunna have to suspect yes and when this whole saga went to court they somehow twisted something in their favor to make him give it up. If he was just the tenant it never would have gotten to the point it did. They would have just done what they did to Nichols and Donner. Of course the existence of the advisory board and Freeman being involved makes me wonder what this crusade was really all for. Why did the IDA not want to own the building and be involved from day one? Where was Freeman back in 1999 when they made this deal? So many questions linger. I just don't see any way that the IDA is on our side. As long as they don't have to spend a dime even if this place bleeds red annually they still profit if they find a suckered for a lease. Makes sense why they won't sell it and why they sabotaged the alleged arena deal back in 2017.
