It's a ploy to buy votes. Promises of bread and circus to buy the adoration of the sheep. D.C. is going to do whatever they hell they want at this point, so I avoid getting too worked up about it. 

The way I see it, go ahead "forgive" their college debt. They'll find out later on in life that the banks and credit card companies arent' so forgiving. Stupid hurts, it's just a matter of when.
