Yes Quote In a statement, Chemung County Democratic Committee Chair Dora Leland says, "The people of his district expect a representative to listen to their concerns and share them in the city council. He's not doing that. Worse yet, he's collecting a paycheck from the taxpayers of the City of Elmira for work he's not doing." Mayor Mandell spoke on the matter as well saying, "The bottom line is he's an elected official. He doesn't have to show up to meetings, he doesn't have to go to council meetings. There's nothing that compels him to do that. Am I frustrated like the Democratic Committee? You're darn right." Source
