  1. From USA Today article: "Lift Every Voice and Sing" was written by former NAACP leader James Weldon Johnson. It essentially calls for the liberation of Black Americans. It's more commonly known as the Black national anthem." the Author goes on further to bemoan the lack of unity....well when you claim that blacks in his Country are in need of liberation in the 21st century, its kind of hard not be offended. to refer to the song as the "black National Anthem" further incites ire and division as doing so implies that there is a Black Nation, seemingly separate from the one Nation indivisible we've all lived under from at least the the 1970's till today. I'm not really invested in the super bowl but for hosting the 2 anthems, im really not going to be watching it anytime soon for what its worth
  2. AAAND of course Israel shot it down. much more territory to grab i guess.
  3. the committee is acting surprised and ignorant of the Execs actions; its disturbing since it is they who hold the purse strings. the request for expenditures would have HAD to cross their desk at some point and be approved. are we to believe they did so without question/discussion, or is it a result of like they did that night; approve bonding/ spending without knowing how many windows or signs they get for the money? as to Legislature using what system, cool, civic is 10k less, did they reach out to peak and ask since exec side is buying, is there a further discount if they use it too? very concerning that PEAK owns granicus/novus but how is it they own the old system but the information wont be stored or searchable? i guess id like to hear more from Moss as to how he decided to use it knowing it wouldnt cross over. it was nice to hear Rodney ask about migration and basically working with the Exec, but the to hear Legislator Smith pipe in....since his 1st term, you can really tell mr Smith has a class-1 hardon for Moss and im thinking he pushes this attitude upon others making and in turn both sides dig their heels in, making cooperation more realistic amongst toddlers than this group in the end it should not be our system versus exec system...ffs, just get the system that will store searchable archived info and will communicate seamlessly between the two branches
  4. i sent Rodney a message with an outlined image of the area. asked if maybe the county could skip mowing there late may through september since its a thick area of milkweed growth
  5. shes in the area soon, to do a book signing, really hoping there is a great turnout for her
  6. 118 billion Emergency Security Bill. less than 10% of which actually goes towards the Border issue. this Bill spends more money on reimbursing Nations that have donated to Ukraine, "federal salaries as pertaining to Ukraine", some sort of "foreign military-something-program", reimbursing countries that illegals are returned to, or housing/healthcare and assistance for illegals than it does on hiring judges and CBP agents. the Lion's share of funding appropriated to any of our Military branches is specifically designated for Ukraine related. i couldnt even get into reading the "enforcement" parts of the Bill, but seeing that the trigger for "shutdown" is like 8500 in a day...i cant imagine any of it being of any use. its funny how Dems are putting this all on Reps, that its THEY who are stalling action on the border when back in May, HR2 was sent from the House to the Senate and it was sat on....HR2, from what ive read so far, had WAY more teeth to it Cannot help but think with all the $$ sent to Ukraine over Biden's Term, if it isnt some sort of quid-pro-quo seeing as Joe and Son have had fingers over there for years.
  7. so are they now saying sequestering CO2 is a BAD thing?
  8. the relevant Superstar sees this and scoffs; hes the people's champion and until hes told to stop....hell just crusa....i mean campaign on it
  9. nice video of one POS flipping the double bird walking out of the courthouse.....Texas has the right idea folks, need to expand the scope now nice try ass-hat except word is at least a few of them hopped a bus to california because they were released
  10. i have a bag of milkweed seeds here btw, i picked them last fall
  11. im all for what Texas is doing. yes it is the Fed's domain to enforce border however we can all plainly see it hasnt for some time now; one need only compare pre-texas intervention and now for results and proof. the illegal immigration situation is untenable for our Nation and i for one hope to high heaven that those 24 governors joining texas mean it, and more sign on.
  12. and if false, would anyone be equally surprised? It IS blatant extermination that is occurring there; 26k Palestinians dead so far, Estimates show around 35k members of the hamas "military", so once the dead reach that number, then will Israel be satisfied? or will they still feel the need to defend themselves to get another 35k Palestinians just to be sure? im sorry but herding entire populations into "safe areas" just to bomb those same areas, not once, but multiple times while absolutely destroying buildings of any description. Soldiers killing/shooting people that are clearly no threat along with statements made by those in Israeli Gov argue against simple defense of Nation in=mho
  13. Nailed it, sadly i think many in local elected positions concentrate more upon politics rather than leadership( which is what most sane voters expect when casting ballots). Worse yet, local elections are too closely following the tactics of their National counterparts and its become one big FB burn-contest
  14. I realize biden re-election is more than dangerous at this point and as blind as Dems are to that fact i just cannot for the life of me figure out wtf is wrong with voters of either stripe

    First Arena

well Bobby i think after 30 years of "be patient, it will succeed" and failing to do so; we have been plenty patient. and i seem to remember at least 800k being transferred from County coffers to the IDA to be used for arena expenses just in the last 3 years or so... hhmmm those inflatables wouldnt happen to be supplied by Bobby-K entertainment would they? of course we have to be patient just a while longer, theres a new hog at the trough and we gotta let him get his taste before moving on like the rest. Nay-sayers, really?! Joe Roman needs to ran out on a rail
  16. one could argue that hardcore Zionist factions of Israeli Gov are currently taking pages out that playbook and amping them up a bit... Conflating Palestinians with Hamas is kind of disturbing; the Entire population is not and likely could not be members of the terrorist group. How about we just say ALL muslims are terrorists or all whites are racists then? While each and everyone of them should be dropping the dime on suspected/known members, keep in mind that for the average "civilian" spends their energy and days just trying to scratch out a survival level-living. Now add in that they are being "evacuated" into ghettos while their homes/land being bombed to shit and/or stolen; Israel may not be openly saying "from the river to the sea" but their actions certainly are screaming it, so with Israel's "right to exist" superseding that very right of others, (over 20k dead including women and children), one could argue Israel is currently engaging in terrorism too
  17. 1 in 25 adults have serious psychiatric problems...200 more beds!! when/if that actually happens makes a grand total of 5980 inpatient psych beds for the estimated 478,920 18-65 adults with serious psych issues. imagine the $$ wasted on this "effort" was put into more psych beds....perhaps it wouldn't be necessary? yup, because THATS what we need, more union positions, more distraction from actually EDUCATING the kids Two-fold issue here: 1. those workers, if "educated in NYS public schools are woefully unprepared for jobs involving math, communicating properly, and being literate. 2. Entire swath of the I-90 she refers to, completely ignores a LARGE swath of NYS that also borders Penn. any workers moving here for such jobs will be driving through areas in sore need of tech/manufacturing jobs ahh yes, lets feed more of those Union supporters by suckering MORE kids who do not necessarily need/want a college degree( i swear this degree push is like the sub-prime mortgage debacle a few years back), cannot imagine how those new registrants will be guided to fill out the papers.... and if you think thats too tin-foil below is included in the "back to Basics" Literacy plan what the hell does that have to do with literacy?
  18. cannot argue with his answer really. funny how "reporter" keeps needing to bring everything back to "whites are evil" and doubles down in face of fact that black on black crimes are more prevalent
  19. i think it worth attention, though i can see a few Legislators trying to make hay from the process and not doing the peoples' business. Thanks as usual for coming in and keeping folks involved!

  21. "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability." I am a Non-Attorney Spokesperson: reading the clause above, there is no mention that such a person is barred from running for office, in fact, if you want to be technical; the fact that the disability can be removed by 2/3 vote of Congress would seem to imply or allow such person to run for office, and once the electorate has spoken, leaves it up to Congress to sort out if needed. Nowhere does this clause give individual States or its officers, particularly those looking to use such theater for their own advancement, powers or authority to preempt the Amendment.
