The Ten Best Moments From "Game Of Thrones"
Chris commented on Ryan O'Connell's blog entry in Giddy Up America
“The potential of Game of Thrones was off the charts and nothing could get in their way. Well, except for themselves. But that’s for another time.” Absolute truth there. The way they built up the final season and then completely dropped the ball was a huge letdown. -
Waxy Gordon and I would be close friends.

What In The Name Of Justice Is Going On?
Chris commented on Senator Tom O'Mara's blog entry in From Albany
Hey when you’re surrounded by personal protection detail or living in a gated community, I’m sure it’s easy to make these BS laws that will never affect you. -
Prohibition were dark days indeed.

The Ten Best Moments From "Game Of Thrones"
Chris commented on Ryan O'Connell's blog entry in Giddy Up America
The relationship between Jaime and Breanne was very well written and ended beautifully. If I could add a scene to the list, it would be Tyrion’s trial. Peter Dinkelage’s acting was superb. -
I Can Admit That I Was ( Mostly ) Wrong About The Snyder Cut
Chris commented on Ryan O'Connell's blog entry in Giddy Up America
I barely made it a half hour into the original release. I don't believe I'll be investing four hours any time soon. -
25 Best Places For Hiking In Upstate NY
Chris replied to Twin Tiers Living's topic in ET Rod & Gun Club's Rod & Gun Club Chat
I've done a couple of those, including #1. While it's not regional, if you're ever in Wilmington NY, I strongly suggest the Cobble Lookout trail. You'll hike past an old quarry operation that's worth poking around. And the views of Wilmington and some of the peaks is amazing. -
Jimi Hendrix Lives In Elmira, New York
Chris commented on Mathew Ingles's blog entry in Ramble New York
I'm glad Mathew mentioned the "gray side" of this, and it's important to remember that he's a person who deserves his privacy. The flip side of that however is how the community, his "fans", care for him and have his back. -
The Underground Salt Mines Of New York: Massive And Risky
Chris commented on Mathew Ingles's blog entry in Ramble New York
I would never want to work down there. One good tremor/ mild earthquake and you’re part of the fossil record. -
I’ll Be Here With The Pigeons: A Parking Garage, A Pandemic & A Pregnancy
Chris commented on Ryan O'Connell's blog entry in Giddy Up America
I really enjoyed reading this. -
I laughed when I read the part about connections to famous people. Abby has found two in our lineage: Lady Godiva and then William I, otherwise known as William the Conquerer, the first Norman King of England. Then I found out it was through one of his bastard sons, which took the wind out of my sails I'll tell ya. Of course millions of other people are descendants of his as well, kinda like Ghengis Khan, so it's really not that special.

As a collector of vintage toys and such, I loved this column. I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s the thrill of the hunt and finally finding that new thing. Perhaps it’s because they’re a reminder of a happy childhood and the hours we spent playing with the toys. And then of course there’s all the little nuances a collector should know about their hobby, the learning involved. All I know is I enjoy it. And maybe someday our sons will keep those silly little treasures and remember me, maybe pass them in to their kids. Or sell the lot and enjoy the cash LOL

I think in this instance the "emblem" would be the spiked protein. But I could be wrong.

The only thing I can figure is it's an attempt to get it under control through herd immunity ( another term I am getting tired of hearing ). You get enough people immunized, even for a short duration, the virus can't spread as easily. Again, just spitballing here, but perhaps as a way to fight off mutations and future coronavirus variants? If I understand correctly, the idea is that the mRNA will seek and destroy any spiked protein cell.

Sure sounds interesting, we'll give it a try soon.

That looks really, really damned good.

25 Questions About "Christmas With The Kranks"
Chris commented on Ryan O'Connell's blog entry in Giddy Up America
It really is an awful movie when you stop and think about it. Yet every year, I'll watch it.
