VANDALIA, Ohio (AP) — Former President Donald Trump claimed that he — not President Joe Biden — will protect Social Security and warned of a “bloodbath” if he loses in November as he campaigned for Senate candidate Bernie Moreno in Ohio.

Context is key, and will not be considered by many who are rabidly partisan:

"China now is building a couple of massive plants where they’re going to build the cars in Mexico and think, they think, that they’re going to sell those cars into the United States with no tax at the border. Let me tell you something to China, if you’re listening President Xi, and you and I are friends, but he understands the way I deal. Those big monster car manufacturing plants that you’re building in Mexico right now, and you think you’re going to get that, you’re going to not hire Americans, and you’re going to sell the cars to us? No. We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars. If I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath, for the whole — that’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars."

Above is the quote in which he used the phrase, and if one actually reads it, the bloodbath is in reference to what could happen if Chinese-made cars in Mexico are allowed to be sold in American Markets.

of course Pappy Joe et al are claiming its proof trump wants another J6....smh

Honestly, the more I read about Mr Moss the less impressed I am.  Other factors aside, the Arena seems to be doing what they said they are going to do and bring in events, concerts, activities etc.  This other "corp" is not new.

I feel like no matter what they do or try to do he is not going to be happy unless he is in charge and that's really the issue here.

issue is, Mr. Margeson is following past actions and using exec session contrary to OML(open meetings Law). "personnel issues" is too broad and is NOT included in OML and frankly "future business" is nowhere near a legitimate reason. We have a right to know where every penny is going particularly relating to the Arena. If Moss was serious about the issue, he would enact an executive inquiry into the past 5 years( give or take) of IDA expenditures and release the findings OFFICIALLY instead of a FB post.

If the Arena is seeing "success" then there should be no problems being open about moneys spent thus far and spending no more money on the place

Considering it was in a church service,

story doesnt indicate it was a Church service but was a swearing in for a Chaplain. in that case i say regardless of political ideology, it is fair game to express opinion since often times the "proper" forums for such are tightly restricted and tilted in favor of public officials.

If it were a church service and James being a politician, i feel mixed. as churches have protection from property taxes and other such penalties we are subject to, they should be off limits to anything remotely smelling of stumping or politics, in that same vein; watching the video, shes walking up to the podium when it starts; i would say they are wrong for bringing politics into a church venue...though i cannot find transcript of what she said in her speech.

"But don’t do it on the job’s time, on other members’ time, or on their families’ time. Do it on your own time.” well that severely limits the definition of "their own time" if they are off the clock then by all means why should they be impeded by other's time or other families' time?

  5. i watched another one today delving more deeper into the history of the right wing or Zionist movement. these folks have long history of lying and manipulating to achieve their goals. in the earliest days of the movement, like 8 of them went to a palestinian owned hotel, said they were swiss tourists, ended up refusing to leave and ultimately displaced the owners. another's wife had a baby in hebron, it sadly died at 6 months, she insisted it be buried there apparently for "spiritual" or personal reasons....conveniently enough the grave had to be guarded by soldiers, and since the IDF had a presence there, it was the pretense needed to start "settling that are too.

the history of settlement was to first surround areas with large palestinian towns/areas, then to move into areas between them to cut off their links. as each settlement established, a military outpost would be "needed" and so it has proceeded for the last 7 decades.

much of this information was obtained from the Zionist movement leaders....its plain maddening to see this blatant abuse and frankly criminal behavior perpetrated by those whose grandparents were treated the same way under the same excuses/actions from Nazi Germany

I don’t know how this can be resolved when Israel wants to eradicate Hamas and Hamas wants to wipe out Israel.   That leaves the Palestinian people in the middle with no where to go.

a good start would be for Washington to stop supplying cash and weapons, followed by no more excusing their actions and no more vetoes at the UN

Mentally stable people don't do stuff like this.

true, however, maybe there are people out there that are willing to hold true to their convictions....ever have the thought or dream where you stand on the mountain top, looking down on ALL the stupid bullshit in the world, yell STOPPP!!! at the top of your lungs only to be ignored? Maybe in his mind this was his way of not being ignored and getting folks to listen( not holding my breath though).

Anymore i can really see why some people feel driven to violence( think going postal); it seems the only way to shake a certain group of society out of their focus on self, even if only for a fleeting moment

If a department head is asking for funding for electronic signs, transit buses or building improvements/upgrades, the Legislature (and taxpayers) should at least have an idea of the specific products and services that amount is for....and ask questions about the justification.

We just approved a $300k bond (to combine with $2.4 million in grants) for the "purchase of transit buses"at an estimated total cost of $2,730,000. There may be perfectly good reasons why this is a great investment. And if it's a good idea, then those who are asking for it should be eager to state the benefits.

How many buses?  Electric or diesel? If electric, will we need another multi-million dollar expense for charging capability?

sadly, too many "Legislators" are just there to fill out their retirement bennies and health insurance; rubber stamping is the easiest way to not actually work. given the way people have voted last few elections, these very same Legislators know the bare minimum to keep constituents voting

n 2022 the Legislature did approve for the Granicus system to be used for the live streaming and web services - but not approved as a replacement for the legislative route slip system. Research was showing that there were too many issues and even though it had bought out Novus, it would not migrate the years of archives over.

given that information, would it not be an overstep then, for the system to be used for anything but what was approved?( truly seeking education btw)

10 hours ago, Lawana Morse said:

The blow up of this issue came about due to the exec choosing the Peak system - which maybe in the buried fine print of approving Peak for the web services, had the route slip system included in contract - and telling the Granicus team to not speak talk to any member of the legislative body and to not give the clerks administrative access to the system.

i guess IF it were in the fine print, the Then-Legislators should have been more attentive to what they were agreeing to and We were paying for, as to the second part, while not totally unbelievable, it would be SO interesting tp have proof come about.

Now my personal opinion - I don't care what software is use as long as it does the job. My issue with this (along with others that I am jumping into the hot pan regarding and will be putting a target on my back of being one who does not comply so stay tuned! LOL) is that there has to be communication and collaboration and that is not happening

Quoted for truth. frankly it seems so simple to have a Law/motion made that the County( both exec/Legislative) are to use the same system throughout. certainly would improve communication while, at least in this instance, end ONE waste of taxpayer time and money.

Thanks so much for updating and participating here, it truly is appreciated

and would not forcibly evacuate medics or patients.

nope, just kill or wound them....

at this point nobody can say this is solely about hostages or Israeli National security; this is "from the river to the sea" just more "subtle". for a cease-fire, return of prisoners( some could say hostages) and an eventual withdrawal of Israeli forces they could have ALL the Israeli hostages returned...instead it seems more extermination is preferred.

the Legislature should be considering whether the 15 FTE employees with a payroll of over $800k/year plus benefits are a good investment.

not that i disagree, but all that will accomplish is to further the pissing in each other's sandboxes as i believe the "control" of IT is the Exec's area
