I was curious about that myself. Also specific to 3,000 people he spoke with 😶 in a city of approximately 26,000 people with a conservative majority isn't pulling in his favor. That said, I don't disagree that those people want the things he mentioned. I think we all do. It's a question as to whether the party line voters feel he can accomplish these things. They would have to have strong feelings about it to jump party lines. I don't think you have those numbers.

Completely agree with you on this one. Iran (imagine them making a comment) is calling Israels actions "war crimes" well, what they heck do they expect. Hamas threw the gauntlet down and Israel retaliated. No mention of Hamas having committed a war crime. I know the US has always been a supporter of Israel. I never felt Israel was open and honest about their dealings with Palestine and played the victim while actually treating Palestians very poorly. On the flip Hamas (not the Palestinians) is a terrorist group that took over that country, not really much differently than the Taliban. The people don't deserve this at all. But then, I still have that tickle at the back of my brain that says it was all orchestrated to somehow involve the US in some way.

I honestly don't think they ever have. He's a moderate democrat at best however the party isn't criticizing him, the Republicans are. He's pulling votes from Biden but also from Trump. Dude might win.

Heck his original intent was to present a Democratic challenge to Biden. He stepped that back a bit. He's a very moderate Democrat.

We have yet to hear any of those ideas. We know he has them, because he keeps telling us that, but I have heard nothing solid on what kind of changes he wants to make and where. How he will address budget needs.? His ideas for spending the grant and such the covid money that the state provided? What are his ideas on the homeless problem that is everywhere in that city? Can he negotiate with the various unions they city employs when the time comes? It's too early to think yet and my coffee awaits, but those pop into my head.

I don't disagree however since so many "constituents" seem to have no idea exactly what the Mayor is and isn't able to do, it's likely a good idea to have some handle on the state laws because someone is going to ask or challenge or want to vote you out because you won't change them.

That's already the problem they have had with others, such as Second Place East. The rules are no drugs or alcohol and the majority of the homeless are out there because of drugs and alcohol. I can see it as a safe place for those who want shelter and will follow the rules. There are many of them

I have been to Brooks. It was a very long time ago (97-98) when I lived in Glens Falls and Oneonta was the 1/2 way point to swap my kid out with his dad. Happy to see it's still there and operating. They have said over and over that the pool is beyond repair and needs to be dismantled. For YEARS. I would google all the articles, but you can do it yourself with some research. I am in fact so sick of hearing them talk about it, I wish they would just do it and be done with it. It's been on hold since forever because of money. Can't afford to fix it, can't afford to take it down.
