    It's back.

Also, in the most recent newsletter, River Friends director Elizabeth Zilinski wrote the following:

So it seems that it's not a matter where one walk was taken and suddenly the litter was discovered, but they had taken the time to do a clean up only to have the area trashed again.

I'm a little surprised that the entire cleanup area was trashed again.  By the river encampment, of course it was.  But the entire city?  I have been part of the downtown cleanup several times so I'm not buying into the entire city was trashed again.

That doesnt give a warm fuzzy feeling I guess?

LOL.  There was an interview with some local landlords a week or so ago.  They both said they would sue.  To me that means they have outstanding violations and have failed to address them, otherwise what do you have to sue for?  They also blamed their tenants and I'm sure there is likely some truth to that too.

The majority are not local and many hide behind LLC or Corp names so they pay the fines and do nothing or they ignore the fines because no one can actually find them.

  3. This is not new by any means.  I wonder about the money they want?  Are they making requests for grants and being denied?  Seems like that is the correct process to go through for money.

If they have all those people want to volunteer, then according to my definition of that, it's not paid (ask me how I know lolol)

They also appear to want the money that is there due to vacancies on staffing.  I would assume the city wants to fill those vacancies eventually as do the police.  I know they are trying to hire.

The city also has a HUGE liability exposure with a bunch of "volunteers" doing the things they want to do.  What if one of those homeless goes after someone and hurts them?  I'm sure injured person would then go after the city.

    Well this is interesting:

Having a performance review doesn't mean he did anything wrong.

A stipulation was added to his contract indicating his 3 year (or whatever it was) extension of contract would require a performance review.  What's the big deal?

I am required to have a performance review once a year.  It's part of the terms of our employment.  There are set metrics regarding certain aspects of my job that I am expected to meet or exceed and it is reviewed annually.

Basically from what I glean from the local News media the CCIDA dropped down to a lower level in the Hockey Conference, with that comes a lower price tag to try making the First Boondoggle self sustaining. Margeson offered that the “New team “ would not draw salaries would be a boon to the community in the form of helping with give backs … so , they are playing for free ? Just how does that work , someone please explain to this old farm boy just how this form of BS works , i mean other than what i’m smelling with this fresh batch .

It's USA Junior Hockey.  I think the kids pay to play.

One of them mentioned a bike lane and that the bus was crossing over on to it.

There isn’t a bike lane there. I checked.

And yet thats where people get their “news.”

Yep I saw that but what one guy said was they were "riding the line" and that's illegal.  Is it?  I would think crossing the line would be, but riding the line?  You would know that one better than me, but that guy knows.

From what I was told, the bicyclist ran into the bus. Now, I know that goes against the opinions of the local experts on Facebook and the conviction of the public opinion court, but...

Plus those "eyewitnesses" who claim to have video & have yet to actually post it.   You know damn well if they had it, they would post it.

It would have to be a dash cam and I'm not sure how someone would be lucky enough to be right there at that angle when the crash occurred.

Only in this frickin state don’t need a “study” to tear something down:

    REPORT

Another "unfunded mandate" required out of city funds those taxpayers have to cover.

  9. Well, Israel seems to be on some sort of mission now so they will likely retaliate.  Then Iran will drop a big bomb on them and that will be that.

Biden already told them it's a no, and we wouldn't get involved.

I think Netanyahu is losing his mind.

along with the immediate and unconditional resignation of current IDA board/Chair

personally it's really all a pissin match between Moss and the IDA chair due to ummm differences of opinion dating back years.

  11. Not that I disagree with his message, I do question whether he has absolute authority to stop or decline payments that I assume were previously approved by the legislator?

The IDA requested the audit so they already knew their were issues and they wanted to figure out how to resolve.  An audit was the perfect start.  The executive seems to imply credit for everything no matter where it generated.

Again, I support the message just not the messenger.  lol
