We had a young lady who kept appearing in the Court on Disorderly Conduct charges as a result of bad behavior in school. This charge is a violation that carries a sentence of up to 15 days in jail. I remember she had 3 pending cases when school let out for summer vacations. She appeared at each pre-trial conference during the summer, giving the Judge a story about how she was behaving. He wanted to work with her and give her a chance. School started, and she started appearing again, back to old behavior. By November, she had 7 pending cases. A new charge came in to the Court the beginning of December making 8 files. She had previously pled guilty to the prior 7 charges and was to be sentenced at the December pre-trial. The Judge had told her he was considering jail but I had had enough with her. I prepared Commitment Orders for each file, 15 days on each to be served consecutively. I showed the Judge the new file, (she had spit on a teacher), and strongly suggested he sign each Order. She spent Christmas in jail during the Holidays and she never appeared in the Court again. Lesson learned.

You have to have a presence in order to enforce/crackdown on distracted drivers. Driving home today, going down McInerney’s Hill, a truck coming up the hill was in my lane (across double lines) and it was a few condos before he realized where he was. He was looking down before he looked up…..I didn’t/wouldn’t move over.

Lack of Code Enforcement in the Town of Baldwin (6th District). I am so tired of the response to concerns you raise that you are being judgmental or that people live in the country so they can live how they want.

The apology should have come before the excuses of which there are non to justify his actions. Just my opinion.

Are the owners of the Bills paying anything for this new stadium? I still believe that $850M taxpayer dollars could be better spent elsewhere.

I can think of better things on which to spend 850M of taxpayer money.

It’s not just one individual, I have heard two different teleprompter readers pronounce Bogota, Columbia as “Bo gotta”. The sad thing is they don’t even realize what they are saying.

I think Putin wants to remake European borders and Ukraine is the beginning. I believe you may be right, it’s going to get bigger and probably uglier. I pray we’re both wrong.

The Ukrainians have lived under tyranny before and won’t go back. They are stubborn and determined and I don’t believe they will give up. I’ll probably take heat for this but I think they have more grit than most civilians in this country.

I remember the first time you took me on Base and I saw the Russian plane and soldiers. I called out a “hello” in the language of my paternal grandparents and waved at them. One soldier waved and answered back. You hustled me along, I didn’t realize I shouldn’t have done that lol.

I would want to see the statistics that shows exactly how the omicron variant remains a threat among unvaccinated school age children especially if infection rates are declining.

Perhaps if the Sullivan Standard is overturned it will bring back genuine journalists (written and those on televised news broadcasts) who research and fact check before publishing their opinions as journalism. Who, what, where, when and why. Any falsehood should be challenged. Today’s journalists are as equally capable of being vindictive as public figures.

I am trying to understand our current legal system. Ms. Palin’s case was given to the Jury for deliberation, after which, the Judge dismissed her case for failure prove she was damaged while the Jury continued deliberations. A Jury trial is decided by a verdict from the Jury, the Judge rules in a Bench Trial.

As for complaints about the half time show, what if it’s simply a matter of not liking that type of music. I don’t like rap, could never stand the music by heavy metal bands and don’t get me started on the country music of the 1960’s. Hubby will tell you how I feel about bluegrass, the whinny stuff lol. A good show has variety so maybe the people complaining just don’t care for that style of music.

I had to ask Hubby who was Neil Young and he named one song Young did that he knew I liked. When will these “celebrities” understand something like this has no impact what so ever on real people.
