TTL News 317 Posted April 17, 2023 On Sunday, April 16th at approximately 2:00 AM Elmira Police Officers responded to the intersection of Clemens Center Parkway and E. Fifth St. for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian with injuries. Upon officers’ arrival, they began rendering aid to the victim a 22 yr old male. The male was transported by Erway Ambulance to Arnot Hospital for further treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle was identified and an investigation is underway. KarenK 384 Posted April 17, 2023 Some of the comments on social media on this one. One fella thinks that "traffic calming" needs to be implemented. Whatever that is. It was 2am so I hesitate to believe that there was a lot of wound up traffic. He also feels Elmira should have a large vehicle "ban". His word. Ummm OK. TTL News 317 Posted April 18, 2023 The Elmira Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on Clemens Center Parkway at E Fifth St on 04/16/2023 at 02:00am as Seth D Truax, a 22- year-old resident of Elmira.
