Except for the church, all of those buildings are gone now.

I remember this station from back in the 50s and 60s. It was located at the bottom of Swartwood Hill (on 223) at the intersection of Austin Hill Road. Their daughter, Gertrude Knapp, went to Van Etten Central School back then. If you were to drive by that corner today, you would swear that there never was a building there - because the lot looks too small for a building of that size.

I went there when I was a kid in high school. That building too is gone now.
