While the administration likes to point out that “consumer spending is up”.....the higher costs of basic necessities are keeping people from making less demand for a lot of the more "non-essential" products that Wayfair carries.

I imagine through the first year+ of the pandemic, sales were good with people with extra cash from enhanced UI, stimulus checks and not paying rent or student loans.....but that's pretty much over now.

I have family that worked Wayfair when they went remote. One left due to a personal tragedy and the other stayed on full time remote. A while ago, I was looking into finding part-time remote work in the hopes of retiring early...and was surprised that most companies that say “work from anywhere” are now limiting residency requirements to certain states....and almost all (including Wayfair) exclude NY residents. I think it’s obvious that NY labor/employment laws are a deterrence for employers.

You can work from with Wayfair. The 5 states they don't allow are Alaska, Hawaii, California and Wyoming. I don't remember the 5th one.

They don't hire people for part time. Everyone starts full time and then you can request to go part time.

They have had a hiring freeze in effect since May for anything other than entry level front line positions.

One would think that the instant gratification Social Justice Warriors might have learned their lesson in 2018 when Jeff gave them the $15 minimum wage they demanded.....and it cost them the generous stock incentives and bonuses.

All the activists that love to cite the wage gap of CEOs vs hourly employees seem to overlook (or are too math-deficient to grasp) the fact that Jeff's fortune is/was amassed due to his own decision to take stock over "predictable and immediate" cash. Clearly, the SCEOs have more faith and confidence in the value of their employees than the employees themselves have.

They always classify the CEO bonuses and everything else as the salary instead of the salary they actually take.  The same when they say they don't pay taxes. They pay taxes on the salary just like everyone else.

that may be worth attending....maybe even partaking

I've already started reaching out to a couple artists to try and get a booking.  We have some talented artists in this area, but I like the portrait work of some of the other ones attending.

  4. I sent you a DM, but Incase anyone else is curious. It seems to be a 30+ year old 8hp Tecumseh engine.

A forum I was reading said something about running to rich could be the problem. It ran great the first 2 times I used it last winter. The 3rd time not so much. I didn't run the tank dry, but it was close.

  6. Feel free to move this if it is the wrong place.

I am looking for someplace to repair my old Cub Cadet snow blower. The last time it last year after about 200ft the muffler was cherry red. It seems to be running rich. I am not very knowledgeable about small engines.

I checked online and 2 places came up 1 only works on Toro and the other has horrible reviews. Hoping for some suggestions.

  7. I was in Colorado for a work training. As I was getting off social media to take the test I saw all kinds of posts about a storm coming.  About 20-25 minutes later I finished my test and signed back into social media and saw all kinds of posts about a tornado and damage and then the Ethernet cable was unplugged for my laptop.

It took about 10 minutes to get packed up and back out to the car where I could try and call my wife. Of course all circuits were busy and it took me a about an hour to get ahold of someone to see how the family was. Luckily they were ok.

  8. Dr. Strange I didn't mind. A lot of that was explained in the "What if" television series.

Thor was not very good until you realize it's that way because it is being told as a story and Korg is the story teller. Not saying it makes it better, but it explains a lot.
