  1. So I have started watching this show on the Peacock app. I absolutely loved the original show. So far I am trying to give this a shot and looking at it as a new show.

It isn't bad, but so far not so great. They do seem to be focusing more on the crew behind the scenes while Gushy and Ziggy were rarely seen.

So far it seems typical of all series out on network TV today. Nothing spectacular about it.

Seems like management is always the first to go.  I only know one in the management area who was still there after the layoff last year.  Wonder if he's going.

If you want to send me his name, I can look. I know a lot of the ones from this area are no longer there.

  3. So the announcement was made today and the number was 1,750 or 10% of employees. I know many people that were impacted. Everyone from L2 (lowest level management) to L6 (the highest level). I don't know of anyone in a customer facing role that was impacted.

Some departments like training lost over 1/3 of the people and engagement was decimated. Some trainers have been offered roles in other departments. I know some of them are coming to my dept.

They also announced that except for the Athens call center that opened last year they are closing the other 4 call centers and everyone would be virtual.

These numbers are world wide and not just in the US.

The severance package for US employees is

10 weeks of pay, and benefits and equity investing being covered till the end of March.

  4. I misunderstood what you said, I thought you meant they were laid off when they got sent home March of 2020. A lot of management got laid off in Aug. I know a bunch of them from the old BF site got it. Some I was sad for, a few I laughed because of karma.

  5. They didn't lay people off when they closed the call center. All were transferred to WFH. A lot ended up quitting afterwards.

The rumors are most of the layoffs are going to be corporate and Frontline employees along with a number of mid level management.

Did someone new take over the seat Stermer vacated?

They haven't appointed any one yet, or have not announced it.

are there new members of the City Council? i assume that since this occurred in the beginning of the new year, it may be possible a new member(s) may have precipitated this?

No, City Council resets next January/.

  7. Sometimes it takes a station a few weeks or months to get the notification from the FCC that they have changed the call letters. Until that happens you will hear them sneak in the "Legal ID" somewhere between :50-:10 the hour.

  8. People are confusing the call letters with the frequency.

FLN is going to be on 94.3.

WLVY, WEHH, WELM  are all going to simulcast on 1600 AM/93.9 FM and  1410 AM/106.5 FM.

Since they are on 93.9, I am assuming they will still call it 94 Rock.

Whatever format was on WEHH previously is gone.

You also have to remember that different frequencies also have different coverage areas.

  9. 94.3 FM will be FLN.

WLVY will now simulcast with WEHH 1600 AM/93.9 FM and WELM 1410 AM/106.5 FM.

$450,000 seems like a good deal. To bad about 99% of the listeners will be changing the station once the format changes.

True, but what about meds and/or chemo treatments.  Would that be a potential environmental problem?

The human composting process breaks down bones and teeth through a combination of microbial and mechanical means. Microbes do the primary work of human composting. By controlling the ratio of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and moisture, human composting creates the perfect environment for microbes and beneficial bacteria to thrive. These microbes are assisted by mechanical steps to help complete the transformation into soil. Recompose staff rotate each Recompose vessel at several points during the process to ensure thorough aeration and decomposition, which helps to break up any remaining bone fragments and teeth. Recompose staff also screen for non-organics such as implants, which are recycled whenever possible. At the end of the composting process, fragments remaining that are larger than one centimeter are processed using the same equipment that is used to process bone in conventional cremation. Soil is tested for safety and screened before it is returned to families or the environment. The final soil may include small bone fragments, which are safe and will continue to break down and return to the environment over time.
