except in this instance the judge instructed the jury guilt didn't need to be proven, just inferred beyond reasonable doubt

or calling Cohen an accomplice plants the idea of guilt in the mind of the jury, not to mention that the decision did not, like normal trials, have to be unanimous.

And the defense was not allowed to call certain witnesses, the defendant had a gag order placed on him while prosecution witnesses were allowed to give interviews, social media videos, etc., the second charge wasn’t fully known until prosecution’s closing statement, the judge was not one of 24 appointed judges who rotate cases but an acting judge selected specifically for this trial.  Politics, personality, and character aside, the Constitution guarantees protections for all defendants in these matters and  for me, that’s the greatest damage done.

  2. I prefer baking to cooking.  At this point in my life, thinking about what to cook, the  prep, the actual cooking, the cleanup after often feels like a rut.  I always said if I won a large enough lottery my only splurge would be to hire a full time cook, someone to plan meals, do the shopping, the cooking and cleanup.  Luckily Hubby doesn’t mind “scrounge” nights lol.

  3. I’ll be surprised if the jury come back with anything but guilty.  Thing whole trial was a joke and that Judge should be ashamed of himself.  As long as they’re able to get Trump the damage to the legal system and rule of law in this Country is just collateral damage.

What I think is happening here is the Democrats are nervous about the election. So they're going to look for any and all reasons to pressure a sitting justice to step down and then fast track someone in there to take their place. Because they know if Trump wins, the court will be largely conservative for many more years to come.

Hypocrites, a flag is a problem but an obviously biased Judge in NYC - no problem.  I’m sick of them all.

Nope, nope, nope...thats like putting salt on watermelon or syrup on corn-fritters and sausage

Well theres nothing worse than expecting one texture, then suddenly experiencing the ear piercing crunch of a finely chopped(poorly hidden) onion

Im amost thinking we Should just change the topic to "Adam's Opinions" instead? lol

I have a feeling it would be an interesting topic lol.

  6. I don’t usually read this genre of books, but, I believe Nora Robert’s “The Chronicles of The One”  (which is a trilogy) fits here.  It starts with a virus the decimates the world and unleashes something not typical in the usual post-apocalyptic books.

Of course I also enjoyed In Times of Trouble which was my other adventure in this genre of books.

I remember watching a movie about African female warriors but can’t remember the title.  It was a very good movie set roughly in this same time period.  I wonder if it was based on these warriors.

There was a lot of fanboy rage on Twitter, and I really don’t know why. I did see one of the actors is trans, but if they’re portraying a character, it shouldn’t matter anyway.

True, if the actors bring the story to life all that matters is the story.
