Apparently Maine has followed suit and declared Trump ineligible to appear on their ballot.

This is election interference.  They have no right deciding who the eligible voters in this country can or can not vote for.  What the Democrats say Trump did/will do if elected they are doing themselves.

No Hobby Lobby won't. I think what NYS is saying is that if you are operating on the Thru Way which the state owns, you should be open all 7 days. Which seems fair since some of those new plazas only have the one restaurant which is Chick-Fil-A. NOW GRANTED, I will say if New York State wanted this to be the case, they should of made that clear to Chick-Fil-A before they started operating there. Cause more then likely NYS wasted all this money on these new rest stops and then lose one of the main restaurants they had worked with from the beginning. It's really stupid also they made these rest stops so much smaller then what they were that most of them don't have a lot of seating which another stupid thing but i'm just venting a little.

Wasting money is something NYS does well.
I feel this is too much government interference in a business’s operation.  Capitalism works, the consumer can make or break a business.  I’m curious as to whether there were complaints to the State about being closed on Sundays.

Venting can be a good thing, thank you for your thoughts.

  3. While watching the news this morning there was a segment on NY planning to pass a Bill forcing Chick-fil-A to remain open for business on Sundays.  If it comes to pass I hope the Corporation fights back but then maybe they should just close businesses in this State and move to more business friendly States.  Hobby Lobby is also closed on Sundays, are they next?

Turns out that kid hasn’t given up in his pursuit of money:

”TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An appeals court has ruled that Nirvana can be sued for child porn over its iconic “Nevermind” album cover, which depicted a naked baby in a pool grabbing for a dollar bill.

The court said the band’s re-release of the album in 2021 for its 30th anniversary meant that Spencer Elden — the boy on the cover — could claim personal injury within the 10 years prior to filing his complaint.

The court’s opinion was released on Thursday.”

I have to ask, was the baby’s name included on the album cover?

Lucas claims he had no part in its making, but I recall reading something that said he actually did but walked away from it at the last minute. My guess is because he knew what a steaming pile of crap it was.

I love Star Wars, and I always will. But man, this is bad.

Funny enough, I actually have a vague memory of seeing it when I was really little. But I’d have been four, so I don’t know that it was the original broadcast I saw. However it was only shown once. Who knows.

It was the original broadcast.  We weren’t impressed but you guys seemed to enjoy the show.

    What a forward thinking plan!!

Thank goodness we now have this particular group of people on the IDA board that has put together a group that can come up with ideas that no one has thought of before.

What was forgotten was available parking.  Yes, there’s a parking garage in the City that no one wants to use.  The Clemens Center built next to a parkway that’s used as a race track for vehicles  speeding through the City.   Try crossing that, day or night, to get to the Center for an evening show.   All poorly designed by “experts”.
Tear the Arena down, set aside parking space, then build smaller buildings for retail, restaurants, bakeries,  and other small speciality businesses to draw people to the area.

Pedestrians and cyclists in Elmira? They're plain suicidal. I see them all the time, riding their bikes out across the parkway, against the light, against traffic, without a care in the world. And pedestrians all over the city like to wear the darkest colors they can find and pop up everywhere in front of vehicles. It's gotten to the point I HATE driving in the city limits when it's dark. Every intersection could be the one where you hear and feel that "thump". Then it's instant guilt in the court of public opinion and another cross with flowers and balloons popping up.

Not to mention the personal injury lawsuit aspect.  I’ve had pedestrians and cyclists look right at me as if daring me to hit them.
