Big Flats Man Arrested After Investigation Into Numerous Burglaries

On Saturday April 22, 2023, the New York State Police out of the State Police barracks in Horseheads arrested 35 year old Kenneth R. Highley of Big Flats for two counts of Burglary 2^nd (C Felony), two counts of Criminal Mischief 2^nd (D Felony) and three counts of Criminal Contempt 1^st(E Felony). 

Police say the arrest was a result of an investigation into numerous burglaries of a residence in the town of Big Flats, NY which had occurred over the past month, during which property was damaged in violation of a court issued order of protection. 

Highley was arraigned in the Town of Big Flats Court and committed to the Chemung County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond pending further court proceedings.
