Hal 341 Posted March 28, 2021 It coming up on swarm season for the bee’s and I have one really strong hive that I think is going to swarm early . So to help me maybe not lose a swarm I have set up a small hive box with last years wax comb and just a drop of Lemon grass oil . Pictures later as the rain was coming down the valley and I didn't want a soaking ! So , the drawn wax is enticing enough to get a scout bee’s attention so she ( scouts ) as in nature , will go in hopes finding a suitable place for the others and will come back to the “Mother hive “ and hopefully get the others back to the trap hive .
