World Series Champion Mookie Wilson Coming To Elmira

New York Mets World Series Champion Mookie Wilson, will come to Elmira, NY Thursday April 17th at 5pm at the Clarion Inn Elmira located at 760 East Water Street in Elmira. This event is sponsored by the Elmira Pioneers, Hilliard Corporation, Hesselson's, and Chemung Supply as well as Blaze Brockway Contracting and will feature a special meet and greet followed by a hot stove dinner with Wilson as the guest speaker.  

Mookie Wilson was drafted by the New York Mets in the second round in 1977. Wilson played for over 12 seasons as a player in the MLB, won the World Series in 1986 with the Mets, a switch hitter with amazing speed, and was inducted into the New York Mets Hall of Fame in 1996. Wilson also spent seven years as the Mets’ first-base coach and continued working for the Mets Organization following his MLB career.
