Recommended Posts

Two women are facing a slew of charges after an incident in Elmira.

On October 3, 2024 at approximately 12:00 AM, Elmira Police Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Water St. for the report of several callers that there was a physical disturbance in front of a business.

When police arrived on scene, a number of individuals were yelling. One subject began walking westbound on W Water St. and kicked the front window of a business causing it to break. The subject then fled on foot away from officers towards College Ave. and was subsequently taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

While that person was being taken into custody, another subject began to interfere with the arrest by stepping in the way, yelling at officers attempting to
distract them and interfere with the arrest. The subject was advised a number of times to back away and refused. The woman was advised that she was under arrest at which time she fled on foot resisting arrest and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

Do you really need this explained to you? Or are you just looking for something to criticize a cop for?

Maybe two officers were chasing her, and one tripped and fell.

Or maybe it was just one who turned their ankle but still managed to continue on through the pain and catch her.

So yeah, that story do seem right, when one looks at it objectively and without bias against one group of people or another.

you never tripped over something in the dark, twisted an ankle, stubbed a toe or anything?

now imagine doing so while running through various unfamiliar properties...the chances of injury arent as slim as youd like to believe, though they likely would not ever be career ending or life threatening, they are injuries none the less

What the actual hell are you talking about? The officer OBVIOUSLY reported the injury, so the report would also entail HOW they were injured - to the hospital, doctor, comp insurance etc.

I’m seriously beginning to thing you’re not remotely serious and instead are just here trolling the site.

good point, but that would require the news providing the info on the story to actually do more than copy and paste what they find online unfortunately.

keep in mind, many employers require ANY injury while on the clock be reported as soon as possible for insurance, comp, and other reasons, there are more details documented but someone has to actually inquire after them
