Chris 3,211 Posted July 21 If we’re going to ever get anywhere in this country, one of the first things we have to do is get rid of this “red vs blue” mentality. It’s about as helpful as yelling “tastes great / less filling” a la Miller lite ads of old. In fact, it feeds into the problem, fueling paranoia or whatever other mental health issues a would be assassin has. Whats more important here is finding out why the Secret Service left a rooftop wide open in such close proximity to a former president and current presidential candidate. Hal 553 Posted July 21 (edited) I believe from watching the vids over and over , not only was there a lack of communication here but a big lack of training … weapons handling in particular! Unfortunately this SS Agent was , not so much as singled out , the front and center focus of that day . Her lack of training was evident in the problems with getting her weapon at the ready and returning to the holster as needed . Not just at the rally but at the hospital as well . Her lack of “ muscle memory “ proves this out and makes me wonder just how the agent would have handled the Mac-10 ( or whatever ) agents use these days ,that she has on a swing sling, under her jacket. We most likely will never know just what the hell actually caused the situation to get as far as it did but it is clear , when one puts it all together, there was a kind of blasé attitude in the security set up for the day .
