Bills Mafia Superthread

The run game is Baltimore's weapon and the Bills D is going to have to be right on top of it.  Bills are not favored even with home field advantage.  It's not the first time either but they managed to win anyway.  I think they can do it again.  They played through that freezing cold, snowy game previously and had no problem handling that ball.

Anything is possible, especially if the O-line protects Josh and gives him time to do his thing. A part of me thinks the Bills have something special up their sleeve, something they've been saving for today.

But here's the thing for me: Even if they lose, they still played better and got further than anyone thought they would. And next year they will be dangerous.

My God, what a game.

The defense showed up in a big way, with Milano looking like his old self again. They managed to keep Henry contained pretty much the whole night. This was the hurdle Buffalo had to clear and I believe they have a good shot at stopping the Chiefs from getting a third consecutive Super Bowl on Sunday.

I love to see the class and mutual respect shown by Lamar and Josh.

And Josh looked a little emotional in his post-game interview.

The Moose Mafia gals were all there last night and WOW what a game.  I love a close game but that was too close for my little heart when the Bills play.

Our young friend Chris all dressed up in in his Ravens regalia even agreed to get in a picture with all of us.  That was before they lost.

Fun night.  Can't wait til next week.  I already took Monday off.  lol

I have to chuckle every time I see his interviews with her.  He always looks amused looking down at her like he wants to pat her on the head.

Orchard Park, N.Y. — Following one of his career’s low points, Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews is getting a much-needed pick-me-up from Buffalo Bills fans, of all people.

A GoFundMe page launched by 19-year-old Nicholas Howard had surpassed $90,000 in donations as of Wednesday night, with proceeds going toward Andrews’ charitable cause, Breakthrough T1D, a Type 1 diabetes research and advocacy organization.

In a matter of 24 hours, Howard went from being in the stands, cheering the Bills to a 27-25 win over Baltimore in a divisional playoff on Sunday, to starting the fundraiser. He did so in response to Andrews being the focus of criticism, including receiving death threats, on social media in the aftermath of him losing a fumble and dropping a potential game-tying 2-point conversion with 1:33 left.

“I feel so bad because it’s a bunch of couch potatoes out there that are saying these hate comments,” Howard told The Associated Press by phone.

On Dec. 17, Village of Wellsville Police Officer Ryan Dibble was patrolling overnight when he noticed deer crossing the road.

So he pulled over, rolled down his passenger side window and held out his phone showing Josh Allen highlights from the Buffalo Bills’ 48-42 win over the Detroit Lions.

Jim Nantz announces on the highlight film Dibble was showing the deer, “(pass caught by) Ty Johnson and the Bills pick up a big gain of 33 yards.” Then the video starts showing another Josh Allen highlight.

The deer stopped in their tracks.

With all of the problems that people in the Seneca County village of Ovid are dealing with after Tuesday’s massive fire, love for a football team is helping lift some spirits.

That fire destroyed several businesses and apartments on the village’s main street, including the Italian Kitchen Restaurant. But owner Ron Carmona has been sharing a photo taken of one of the three Buffalo Bills flags that were on poles outside the rubble where his restaurant student. The pole it was on is bent low, the flag has a lot of ice and frost on it, but the red, white and blue of the Bills logo is clearly visible.

And Carmona said that has brightened the day just a bit for many people in that community.

“Absolutely, absolutely, everybody stopped, taking pictures of the flag, with the flag and all that because, it is our team, for most people, we root for them all the time,” Carmona said.

Damn what a heartbreaking loss.

While I don’t know for sure  the two or three BS calls would have affected the outcome of the game, it’s possible. Still, Buffalo didn’t play up to the level they needed to or even the level they did against the Ravens. The defense was completely porous, especially by allowing Mahomes to run the ball far too much. Meanwhile they had a spy on Josh the entire game and as a result he had a lot of pressure the entire game.

Im not sure what they were thinking, but when the ball got in Cook’s hands, they moved it down the field. His contortionist act on his second TD was particularly impressive:

And the “QB sneak” is all well and good, except when opposing teams know exactly where he’s going. He’s gonna go left, everyone knows it, and they were ready. There’s got to be a way to mix that play up so you can either go for the sneak or fake it and toss the ball to a receiver.

In the end however, they far far further than anyone thought they would in a rebuild year. They should be proud of that, and it made for one hell of a season.

worst thing is: Kinkaid wasnt even the intended receiver, you watch the play again, you see Allen pointing up the middle and Hollins was being blatantly held. kinkaid was not originally in position to have a chance of a catch, given the effort he made and how close he came to scooping it up; id call it the " immaculate intention"....NFL really needs to clean up officiating, and start employing technology for spotting the ball

It’s not a penalty when it’s the Chiefs though.

Theres also a lot more videos that clearly show that Josh was over on that 4th and 1. I don’t know what the hell good New York is if they don’t intervene in situations like that. Especially for such a high stakes game.

Orchard Park — Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde made his retirement official after 11 NFL seasons by posting a note on his Instagram account on Tuesday.

“So much love and way too many thanks. From Fostoria to Iowa City to Green Bay to Buffalo,” Hyde wrote, referring to his Ohio high school, Iowa college and two NFL stops. “The goal was to leave an impact. That was one helluva dream. On to the next.”

Micah was one of the best.  He wanted to retire from Buffalo.

I don't remember, did he make it out on to the field this year or did he just come in to help train the defense?

He did not play at all.  He resigned in Dec practice squad and even said at the time that he would be retiring end of season.

Okay I recall a lot of talk that he was helping the defense prepare. That’s pretty awesome, to sign on knowing you’re only gonna be in the background

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook had a monster season, and now, it looks like he’s making moves to secure a big payday. After racking up 1,267 yards from scrimmage and a conference-leading 18 touchdowns, Cook earned his second straight Pro Bowl selection in 2024—and with numbers like that, it’s easy to see why he’s looking for a new contract before the 2025-26 season kicks off.

But here’s where things get interesting. Cook has seemingly pulled the classic "social media scrub" move, unfollowing the Bills on Instagram and removing nearly all photos of himself in a Bills uniform—except for his Pro Bowl shot. We’ve seen this before with other NFL stars looking for new deals, and while it’s a bold negotiation tactic, it can also create unnecessary distractions for the team and fanbase.

According to Spotrac, if Cook gets the deal he’s aiming for, he will become the second-highest-paid running back in the NFL in 2025, trailing only 49ers superstar Christian McCaffrey.

I think Cook is worth the money.   They have a couple players going free agent and honestly I'm OK with letting them go.  Cooper is one of them.   Our salary cap is a lot better this years so they need to use it wisely.  Get rid of Cooper and Miller and bring in someone guys who can catch Josh's passes.
