Twin Tiers Living 573 Posted January 5 Quote What does a guy have to do to make the Pro Bowl? That’s what Buffalo Bills running back James Cook is likely thinking after Pro Bowl rosters were announced on Thursday. Cook, amid a career year, was named a first-team alternate with Derrick Henry, Joe Mixon and Jonathan Taylor being named starters in the Pro Bowl Games. Following the announcement, Cook took to X and shared the following message. “It be wild. Your best still ain’t enough but hey.” Source

Twin Tiers Living 573 Posted January 5 Quote The Buffalo Bills will conclude their regular season at Gillette Stadium. Buffalo has the No. 2 seed in the AFC wrapped up so there isn’t anything at stake for the team. New England, however, has plenty riding on the outcome of today’s matchup. A loss gives the Patriots the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. A win, however, could drop them down as far as fourth in the draft. Many of the Bills’ starters will see limited action today and some will not suit up at all. Here’s a look at Buffalo’s inactives for today’s game. Read more about it here. Thing is, a lot of these players don’t want to hold back and/or lose. If anyone it’s the management that really cares about draft picks and placement. The players want to get paid. Chris 3,699 Posted January 12 Quote ...unselfishness. It’s a team philosophy coach Sean McDermott has preached since he arrived in 2017, but few have embodied that character trait quite like Hollins. Hollins was general manager Brandon Beane’s first acquisition when free agency opened last March. There wasn’t much fanfare about a journeyman receiver who signed a one-year deal with his fifth NFL team. The Bills love positional flexibility, and the receiver was known as much for his performance on special teams as he was for catching passes. Hollins has since become one of the most popular Bills on the team. Fans have grown to love his quirky personality and even go out of their way to video his sideline antics during the game. A video of Hollins playing air guitar during “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers against the Jets has over 100,000 impressions. "That’s who Mack is. There’s a reason he was brought here.” Source Mack is a keeper for sure.

Twin Tiers Living 573 Posted January 13 Quote Orchard Park, N.Y. — Ed Oliver sat at his locker stall on Sunday, after the Buffalo Bills blew out the Denver Broncos, with a huge smile on his face. He spent the last week explaining how the Bills’ lackluster run defense performance during the regular season didn’t mean anything when it comes to playoff football. And for one game, Oliver was correct. The Bills shut down Denver’s rushing attack, holding their three running backs — Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin, and Tyler Badie — to a combined 35 rushing yards. Buffalo’s strong defensive performance comes at a critical time, with the Baltimore Ravens set to visit Highmark Stadium next week. Read the rest here. What do you think? Does Buffalo have what it takes to beat the Ravens? To go all the way to the Super Bowl?

I think given a good day and no injuries, it’s possible they could. But I’m not entirely hopeful for a Bills Super Bowl this year. Everything needed for the offense is there, but the defense, while certainly better against Denver than we’ve seen in a long time, has to be better and perhaps a little faster. Though I’ll concede if they play like they did, then yeah, they have a shot. Even if they don’t make it, they had one hell if a year, and far better than what most considered to be a “rebuild” year. Twin Tiers Living 573 Posted January 15 Quote BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Coming off a big wild-card win, many Bills fans have already secured their tickets to this week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. One member of Bills Mafia got her tickets in remarkable fashion — in a video that instantly went viral. Olivia Doiron received the tickets when her husband Sean Smith surprised her during their wedding vows at their ceremony last month. “She is ready to run through a table for them. I enjoy and like the team a lot, they are my favorite team for sure, but she is a die-hard,” Smith said. Read more here

Twin Tiers Living 573 Posted January 17 Quote The Buffalo Bills will have home-field advantage on Sunday night when they host the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round. In addition to having the fans in attendance to try to rattle the Ravens, Baltimore will also have to deal with the weather that comes with playing in Buffalo in January. Current projections for kickoff have the temperature at 12 degrees with a RealFeel temperature of negative three. It could affect both quarterbacks, but Josh Allen is no stranger to this type of weather. Just two years ago, Allen led the offense to a perfect game, scoring touchdowns on every one of their possessions, minus kneeldowns. Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson cannot say the same. Since entering the league in 2018, Jackson has never played in a game this cold. Ryan Mink, the Editorial Director for the Ravens, shared Jackson’s 10 coldest games at kickoff. The temperatures ranged from 27 degrees to 36 degrees. See more, including Jackson's thoughts, here.
Chris 3,699 Posted January 19 Man, I feel like today is the biggest hurdle the Bills face going to the Super Bowl. With home field advantage, the cold will work in their favor, but it's going to make the ball hard to handle for everyone. So I'm thinking it's going to be more of a running game for both teams. If they were to get to the playoffs against the Chiefs, I "billieve" they have a good shot at winning. They're 16-2 this year, and one of those losses was because they didn't need to win and decided to rest their starters. The other, more legitimate loss, was to Buffalo. The run game is Baltimore's weapon and the Bills D is going to have to be right on top of it. Bills are not favored even with home field advantage. It's not the first time either but they managed to win anyway. I think they can do it again. They played through that freezing cold, snowy game previously and had no problem handling that ball.
